Tx on all 40ch at once

When I lived in SoCal, there were guys who took then new export radios (Cobra 148GTL-Dx, Superstar 360Fm, President Jackson) and set the FM deviation as wide as possible. and then transmitted. Receivers in AM mode will "slope detect" FM and if it's extremely wide can be heard on several adjacent channels simultaneously. Wide deviation FM detected by an SSB product detector is very narrowband because of the narrow IF filtering. So it can be heard, but at very low audio levels. Fm can be heard on all 40 channels if the deviation is wide enough. I know there are other methods of simultaneous transmitting on adjacent channels, but wide deviation FM is the only one I am familiar with.

There's the hip hop music on channels 35-36-37 that's been going for a few months now. They are using the very wide FM deviation mentioned by JJ in the post above. It's signal is strong on 36 and much weaker on 35 and 37.

A signal spread out over the whole 40 channels would not propagate very far as the amount of power in each channel would be only be a tiny percentage of the total being radiated. You would need a very very big linear indeed to have any effect.

Besides, some of the channel 6 guys already do transmit on all 40 channels at once with their insane splatter LOL!

It's just a goof.
Nope. A circuit board with a 10.24 MHz crystal, a divider chip that takes it down to 10 kHz, and relay that feeds a 10 kHz square wave into the PLL's varactor diode.

And a relay to shut it off while receiving. You don't want to HEAR all 40 at once, really.

Just got 20 of the pc boards, thinking about selling it as a kit. Still contemplating a product name. The locals call it "The World Of Sound". Original project name was "Nuke Duke". After seeing what it does on a SDR waterfall display, thought about "Clone Army".

You need to add a small circuit to the radio, earlier thread on this subject (scroll down just over half way for the schematic of the added board):

We joke about about that all the time. I am sure if you have a certain Channel 6 towers in your town you may hear, "I just got down.. I just got down... I just got down," whenever he fires up the Flux Capacitor for 1.21 Gigawatts, on most of the 40. I am starting small out in the garage, just trying to get my face on a Sony Trinitron tube when I key up the old Pearce Simpson. Or, maybe toast a bagel.

So here's the schematic of the 'clone army' pc board.

And here is the pc board for it. Hasn't been sheared off of the panel it shares with several other tiny pc boards.

No deadline for taking it any further. Got other commitments to meet for now. Never underestimate the labor needed to pull parts, pack only the right ones for each kit, lay out a step-by-step and pack them up ready to ship.

Makes building the board look easier than packing up kits.

As being someone that has had to deal with some guys using that it's the scourge of the world. I know lots of folks on here have heard the banjo music on channel 28 and other channels and that's courtesy of the so called world of sound in the hands of some really aggravating fools lol.

Sorry guys but I gotta say it.......this shit pisses me off. There's enough idiots with noise toys on the band already. WE DON'T NEED ANY MORE !!!!
All it would take is five or six guys transmitting on all 40 channels at the same time with amps and decent antennas and you would render the entire CB band useless for everybody in North America, and a good chunk of the rest of the world when conditions are in.
Just look how much chaos the 111111 guy has created just on one channel, and then imagine that multiplied by 40 or more.........no thanks !

The whole thing just seems really really dumb and stupid. Radios are for communicating with other people on, not for trying to piss off as many people as possible with noise toys and other idiotic shit!
The band is populated with way to many guys trying to compensate for what they lack elsewhere in...um.....their life........
No wonder CB radio is the butt of so many jokes! Good Grief !

Rant Over. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
