Unexpected Interesting Reward!

I did buy a handful of these after reading this thread back then. I still have yet to use one. I rebuild my own (all or most, if needed) original elements with as many original parts as possible. I usually stick to crystal and ceramic though. This is making me want to mess with one of the late astatic PA mics that I bought for parts though! I mean mounting an adafruit in it. May check it out tomorrow.
 
I ordered some to play with but now have to find a new retrofit candidate as unfortunately managed to repair the intended victim before the elements arrived. This thread is chock full of useful knowledge you Elmer's, you.
