Nice choice of AM CB radio. I will never understand why you guys like these RFX chasis mount amp's and RM203 stinger boards. Packaging, mounting, repair options are always better with a amp that is separate from the radio. Just my opinion mind you but I think you should always have 100w RMS available with any amp you add to a CB radio. Unlike bipolars of old non-rf mosfets in rf use are not very durable and can not tolerate much mismatch at any phase angle. They also have very low gain. I did the chaisis mount RF amp in the 1990's in high school and college but not with mosfets. Also vehicle mounting was far easier. When the RFX fails and it will fail you will need to send your entire radio out for repair instead of just the amp.

Thank you. Wanted a Classic look slightly older radio type. Came across RFX at same time and wanted a permanent rig. Was tuned lightly to like 70-75 at full swing. Not near as quite as hard as say Bells that bangs 95-100 all day. I had it setup to last awhile. The on and off option is nice. 2-7 off and then higher when switched on. For most road the 2-7 willl work. I wanted the RFX for if and when skip rolls.
And at the truckstop past 1900. But you’ll be out front with the cars. True stealth when stirring the s-pot.
Just look to the big truck parking to see who’s backing, and SCREAM out the company name that they’re about to hit you.
Finish microwave burrito and be on your way.
