Uniden slant face PC 77 ID ?

Well I opened up the PC-77, D15 definitely cut and C35/C37 may have missing components. I’m certainly not a tech in any way, can anyone suggest what was done in performing these mods ?

Hopefully the face is such that a replacement “screen” can be fit over the meter/display. I think it’s a pretty cool little rig, probably get the plastic covers hydro dipped in something subtle.

The Commander 200A looked pristine inside after blowing out the dust, hopefully it’s in good working order.

Not really a tech, but I have burned a finger or two with a soldering iron. (Yes, my own.)

D15 was cut to defeat the AMC circuit, probably in an attempt to increase modulation.

The holes near C35 and C37 look like something may have originally been intended to go there but was then left out after an engineering change. There's no silkscreen on the board to indicate what type of component would have gone between the holes. I've seen other boards that have the same thing, most likely nothing to worry about.

Good luck with that one. Hope you get it going again.
