Using 2 different sizes of coax

ive heard people flipping out just at the thought of using two different coaxs together.

as long as the ohms match, what is the big deal ? ive never tried it, so i dont know.

Can I run 213 and Mini-8 coax with a barrel connector without my SWR's skyrocketing?

As long as you don't run 1000 watts or more through the mini 8 you should be just fine.......it's all 50 ohm coax.

Most people use a smaller coax cable for jumpers in the shack and then run a heavier cable for the long run to the antenna. No different than joining two pieces with a barrel connector.

Its fine but just remember that mini 8 after a 50 foot lenght has a pretty significant lineloss. I have ran 100 foot runs and it still got the job done but some people are critical about the lineloss.
