UT 102

74in,
On my older icom ic-761 it's called a EX-310 voice synthesizer unit.
I thought about it and was looking for one but the more i thought about it..... why? If you can find one for 761 there expensive and all they do is tell me what frequency i'm on. I can see what freq i'm on so whats the point. Great for the visually impaired.

Maybe with the newer icoms/UT-102 they do more? Good luck

74IN,
Not that brand, but I've had a voice thingy in a radio before. When the 'new' wore off of it, I don't think I've used it in years. Same for a voice recorder. If you have a specific need for one, get it! If not, it's just an expensive toy that later you'll wish you hadn't bought. As if we all haven't done something like that, right?

I guess I'll get a SSB filter.

Any reccomendations?

Which Icom do you have and whats your operating style
Narrow filter great for DXing and crowded bands. Contesting
Wide filter great for rag chewing and general DXing.........studio sound

74IN,
here's your choices:
FL-103 9 MHz FILTER
2.8kHz/-6dB (SSB wide) FL-223 9 MHz FILTER
1.9 kHz/-6 dB (SSB nat.)
Not sure if you can install both. These are Icom's factory filters,Irad does not offer any filters for 706 series. I perfer the wide filters,Good luck
