Very confused over this manual tuner

The Balun is 4:1 and is designed to transform 200 ohms to 50 ohms. To do this the parallel wire windings on the cores are designed to be 100 ohms. One side is wired in series so that 100 ohms and 100 ohms = 200 ohms. The other side is wired in parallel so that 100 ohms/2 = 50 ohms. Why is that important to know? You may then understand why placing 300 ohm cable (or load) into your Balun will only produce a VSWR of 1.5:1 since 300/200 = 1.5 or 75/50 = 1.5. The point is do not expect a 1:1 VSWR. To do that your parallel windings would need to be 150 ohms, not the standard 100 ohms.
