I checked the Hepburn forcast a couple days ago and this weekend looked promising. Starting last night it has been pretty good stuff. From IL EM59 I worked OK and KS last night on 432.1 new grids for me OK new state 432. Grabbed VA on 2m ssb this morning. Also worked into Wisconsin on 1296.1 ssb new grid/state.. 5/9 both ways 270 air miles.. 10 watts.. awesome!
I encourage everyone to get on the bands!! You don't have to have ssb or ft8 to work tropo. I also worked North Carolina this morning on 146.520 FM 5/9 easy copy off my vertical at 36ft w 50 watts. All about right place at the right time.
