I bought a Leixen VV-808 a couple of weeks ago but I have not been able to use it as I cannot understand the English User Manual. What I need is step-by-step instructions on how to set up the radio. All I want to do is make simplex QSOs and QSOs through a repeater using CTCSS. The word "repeater" doesn't even appear in the manual. I have ordered a programming cable for the unit but don't even know where to plug it into the radio. Please, can somebody help me? A setting up YouTube clip would be helpful or even a simple step-by-step guide. Alasdair Baxter (M0WAB)
Just keep scrolling thru the menus. You should be able to figure it out. The programming cable plugs into the mic jack. If you have ever programmed a modern HT, it should be familiar in programming.
