Can anyone direct me to where I can get instructions for restoring my VX-8DR to original factory settings?

I just got it, played with it, and now it's all confused, as am I.

Thank you,

Doc

Update: I found it on page 134 of the Manual. 73

Page 134 . 1. Turn radio off. 2. Press and hold band, hm/rv,and tax po (satelite)buttons while turning radio on. I had problems with this at first ,don't try to hold all three down with your thumb. Hold two down with one finger with your right hand depress third button with index finger and power on with middle finger then press FW to reset. Have done this several times and works fine for me.

How long does the rest take?
I have followed directions multiple times with no results.

A reset doesn't take long at all. It is pretty much immediate.
It was a 12 year old thread BTW. Sometimes best to just start a new one.
My guess is that the buttons you are trying to press at the same time (not always easy to do) are not all being pressed as you may think.
I would verify that the posted process is in fact correct with looking at a manual for yourself.
Maybe get another ham friend to check it out with you. Two heads being better than one.
