Wanted: Base Radio ....on the cheap

As the Title says:

I want a Base Station Radio.

11 Meters. SSB would be GREAT, but not a deal breaker.

Needs to be in working order.
Dont care about the aesthetics of the radio (but dont want one totally ravished)
More concerned about the functionality. If it works, great. If it works OK and is something minor, then I can deal with that.
I dont want to deal with major issues.

i have a cobra 142 gtl base
as for your asking price

it does not come with covers and the meters adn knobs are not connected to a face plate so if you want to see what a signal is you have to pick the meter up to look at it

all the knobs and controls will come marked with masking tape
the microphone well that also another story
it takes both hands to hold everything just right and thunb and pinky to key the ptt switch

what was it you were looking for again a Cheap Base radio

I agree. A cobra 148/GrantXL is a very modifiable radio with great RX.

A 3A supply and your all in.
