and at night same thing except net time and by gawd huge outcome.
people lets use these repeaters.
if not repeaters use simplex.

Here in Seattle I have regularly scanned about 55, 144 and 440 frequencies on several nights from about 7pm till midnight. Not much going on! Mostly a few nets on occasion. I can either bring up or hear all the repeaters I programmed. Only 2 are very active, K7LED and the PSRG repeater. They have a lot of net activity. PSRG has a "social net" a couple times a day, one at 9pm that can go for a couple hours.
It sure isn't like the 1970s on those bands though!! With 1000 cable TV channels, smart phones and the internet it is no surprise!!

Very little repeater use but the WWARA says we need more repeater frequencies so are pushing to add more by forcing everyone onto narrow FM over the next several years.

we need more OPERATORS.
was gonna say my first time in amature radio we talked simplex.then came repeaters. was quiet on simplex because everybody was waiting to use the repeater like at a county fair n 100 people waiting in line to use the plastic outhouses
