Man the weather has been bad here I havent had the chance to use the radios all week I would rehook all coaxes up and within a few hours crappy weather would set in and unhook and out the coaxes went its been crazy here in central Wisconsin.

Today its actually nice almost to hot and the humidity whooo I checked the radar and weather situation and its good here through Tuesday I believe so I can actually do some radio play. I been seeing that weather is goofy in several areas so its not just here.

Hope you all have a good fathers day weekend Im off to cookout with the family for my birthday today I mean play mixalogist behind my dads bar  once it cools off its almost to hot out to play scientist at the present time.

Have a good and safe weekend forum.......Tony

I hear ya man, ...you have a good one too.:thumbup1:

Same deal here at the Jersey shore Tony, I have all the coax pulled except on the 2 meter radio since there's a Skywarn activation, but that's about to expire and the sun is peeking out as it's about to set.
They're still calling for continued thunder storms, and rain through tomorrow, but I'm hoping the rain holds off for at least a few hours in the morning since I have a pistol match I'd like to attend.
Been hard trying to play radio, the storm that blew through here yesterday snapped my random wire, now I have to reconstruct that antenna before I can get back on 40 and 80 meters.....

I'm beginning to think I live in Seattle instead of the south Jersey coast....

As I was drivng downtown I seen the Sears Tower get hit twice with lightning, this weekend has benn T-Storm after T-storm.

I did manage to hear a 10 meter opening, while I was mobile

Heck I heard all kinds of skip on channel 19 AM

I have yet to get into 6 meters Ill have to find an antenna first I suppose anyone have any suggestions?

There are pro's and con's of 6M. One of the pro's is the antenna. The perfect dipole would be 4.6 ft per side. It's small size makes it easy to work with. Another pro is that you don't need much power for E or F skip, 10 watts will do unless your tring to break some world record or something.

One of the con's,,,,at times the band will set dead for months.
