What electronics have YOU fixed lately?

Fixed a boneheaded screw up today. 8 volt regulator in a radio I just finished recapping appeared to have gone bad, very hot no 8 volts. Replaced it and condition persisted. Started looking around what was fed by the 8 volt regulator and found where I had replaced a cap but failed to clip the leads for whatever reason. Positive lead touching ground.

Well, duh, no wonder it wasn't working.

Clip, clip, good radio.

Well, it's not electronics but I have my washing machine in a million pieces on the basement floor. Installing a new clutch and motor coupler.
Well you can handle it

Hey, I learned how to UNTIE/UNKNOT/STRAIGHTEN a string of Xmas lights - in a reasonable amount of time.
(Your mileage may vary)

Putting them up CORRECTLY to the spouses delight is the real repair...

And I didn't pop a breaker!

Else all I can offer is that I can re-set the "12:00AM" flashing on the Microwave when the power gets restored without having to search the entire house or the Internet to locate the owners manual!
In Boy Scouts the new kid if smart and independent got all kinds of craptastic work to just dog on him. Imagine having to un knot crates and duffle bags of knotted ropes probably decades worth. To this day I can unknott and untangle things like those Rubix's Cube competitors. I can talk and carry on a conversation or you can blind fold me it does nto matter! That said Christmas lights where a thing back in the day and seemed to self knott themselves in storage! LOL
