my experience with Al has been exceptional ! And I have nothing but the utmost respect for DTB ! I consider it very helpful to have these guys helping a "hired hand" like me out . IMO DTB, AL @ Sparky's & Bob Fitz are very helpful and some of the most knowledgeable guys in the radio biz!! :D

Haven't had the opportunity to deal with DTB yet, but I've had real good luck with Bob since the only reliable tech we had locally retired a while back. The Galaxy 88 in my Tahoe is one of his radios. He's about an hour and a half drive from here and I try to stop by whenever going to or from State College, time permitting. I rarely get over East as far as Carlisle these days, but I'll stop by DTB's when I do.

Some of the tech guys here should go over there and check out the post under amps about the guy who's going to start building his own amps. First a 1x2, and then a 1x4 with "800 watts of duck smashing power". Should be interesting.

DTB was already there and got banned when he pointed
out the fact Big Bopper was copying his website and
posting info as if it was his.

They don't want any real technical people on the forum.
Just the sponsors with their wild claims.

As someone pointed out, BB had posted some stuff he found on a CD which was purchased on Ebay. I have no idea who sold the CD, but BB was not copying directly from my site. From what little interaction I had with BB, he didn't seem the type to plagiarize intentionally.

Thanks for clearing that up DTB ! Hope to get up your way sometime & meet you. This forum (Worldwide) is definitely the MOST informative I have ever used. I am just a radio operator , not a tech for sure but, I am definitely learning. Thanks to all.

I was on that forum for a bit, and it wasn't a very fun thing at all. Being kinda new to this stuff, I'd ask a dumb newbie question, and end up getting laughed at or chewed out for asking stupid questions. It got a little tiring trying to deal with people that think everyone should be a tech, and already know all the answers. Anyway, I stopped going to that forum, and will never go back!!

just my 2 cents worth

I have been reading that forum for years and never witnessed
any thing like you describe.
The people are very friendly and "try" to help everyone they can.
