What if I wanted to post the start of a new CB club. NOT an amateur radio club which quickly eliminates the CB crowd but, a CB club.

Could I post for members here ? No fee club of course.

There's a few clubs here in the Ca Bay Area, not sure what the benefits are to being a member though.

We do have one very prominent station operator who along with a few others host a Friday night check in/bs session on 27.165 and live on YouTube at 8:00 pm. This has been fun for me on occasion, however I have not had any success checking in on air due to my location. They have remote check in thru the comment section. Some pretty good entertainment at times.......

I have listened to that net, it can be a real train wreck.
The Turlock /Modesto north corridor up there is very entertaining most nights

I talked with Modesto/Turlock guys a few times daytime. I live 35 mi north of there.

i prefer to remain in the radio shadows,clubs at times need help which relates to work. i use my radios to enjoy. work n enjoy somehow dont mix,like engine oil n water. but hey go ahead if you want. i think we are still free to choose

So... the WDX website and forums already sponsors a CB club, in addition to the two ham clubs. The relevant section of the forum has the unfortunate word "contest" in the title and not "CB", but if you go here:

you'll see you can request a WDX CB Club member number in the sticky thread, and there's an Excel spreadsheet club roster in the first post of the sticky thread.

It seems a bit odd to recruit members for a new internet-based CB club on an internet forum that already offers a CB club and assigns club member numbers.

You would be able to talk to me, live. Isn't that why we do radio ?

Sounds like what you are proposing is not a club per se, but a casual rag-chew CB net

for WDX CB forum participants, either AM or SSB (or FM after October 28 ), with you as the net control station. Why not just propose a time and channel/frequency, and post it both here in the general CB services discussion area, and in the WDX CB Club discussion area parts of the forums?
