What is everyones favorite radio out there and why?

I would say my HR2510,Galaxy 66 and my RCI6900f. These are

good radios for what they do...TALK! My 2510 is awesome on

SSB, while I don't care for it much on AM, it's a good rig. Now

as for my Galaxy 66 & RCI 6900f.......they rock!!!!!

I think my Favorite radio would have to be my galaxy 99v.

ALso I love my old Sears RT40...You just cant kill it (thou it self distructed Awhile back...lol) Hope the 99v lasts as long (almost 30 years hehe)

Peace everyybody

Mine would have to be my NS-4000.. It's gone now but that was one hell of a talker.. I like the 2950 I'm running but I can never seem to get the LSB/USB to come in.. Maybe something not working with the clarifier..

Wow ! Hard choice to make....I have two TRC 465's, a HR 2510, NS 9000, Cherokee CBS 1000, Cobra 2010 GTL and a Cherokee AH 100.

I like all these rigs for their own abilitys....I just cannot decide which is my standout radio !

Well I guess that an old president base I had back in the 70's.

Talked good, SSB didn't drift, ease of operation.

The DX2517 that I have now will and has out talked it but for a lazy man, a little more work.

The Connex 4800dxl is a good AM unit but drifts on SSB. Can't use SSB driving down the road anyway.

My nickle

hey charger i made it.i would have to say my favorite radio-well two favorite radios are - a TRC465-this was my first ssb radio.it was the one that got me hooked on ssb skip-i still have the little unit and still fire it up once in a while.me and that little radio talked around the world! the other is a heavily modified washington base-did the mods myself-and have less than $30 in parts thrown in it.with a couple or three wiskeys behind it ,it will hold it's own against the big $$$ rigs on am or ssb. very cool board - great to be here 73's w 527

Hey. There certainly is something familiar about this forum...

But seriously, there are some nice little improvements.

Call me old fashioned, but I love my Cobra 148GTLF. It's never given me a lick of trouble and it keeps pluggin' away. Loud and Proud.

I was just commenting on the similar formatting to the EEI Web forum. At least, that's the way it looks on my SVGA display. With some nice little extras here and there. All around, a better look.

I've been away from the PC for a bit. Have I missed something going on over "there"?

Yea, it is similar. There are some features they have that I would like to have, but there are features here that it doesn't have. Guess there is not a "Perfect Forum" <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/frown.gif ALT=":(">

Take care guy and have a good night. I left you a private message on EEI's forum.

DjW,

I'll tell you one thing, the HR2510 is one hell of a sideband rig!

Hard choice, AM wise!
