I know this isn't in the export vein you wanted, but a well-tuned Cobra 29 with an FET conversion is a VERY loud radio, while still maintaining crystal clear sound.

any radio will splatter 10khz away.

I bought a President Lincoln..........now that is a loud radio. To ruin sixbrix and crusader's day the tech removed the modulation limiter. 1 watt key swinging to 12 watts on a Bird 43.......that sure does tickle the world wide 2 and 4 pill.
