What's Wrong With This Picture and Description?

Let me take a shot. I think what Wire Weasel was trying to insinuate that the claims in BS because he in the picture you don't see the TX light on. In fact it may appear that the radio is not on.

To correct this oversight (has the Bird propped up on another radio) Allow me to post several pictures from different vantage points, CLEARLY illustrating the radio for sale IS in fact doing what is claimed.

Next time you feel the need to shit up someone's for sale thread, have the common class to do it in a PM

+/- 40 PEP on a Bird 43 with the Bird PEP kit & a 50A slug.

And you listen here sonny. We on here will shit up anybody's thread at any time. It happens :D

So has this 29 been modded with dual mosfets? That would have been worthy and interesting of noting just like the missing internal speaker that you wanted to assume wasn't worth mentioning? No dual mosfets? Then there ain't no 29 on the planet that will do 38-40 watts. Your bird needs to go to the shop for recalibrating.

Get happy

If your life is that morally bankrupt that you troll around trying to screw up for sale threads, that knock yourself out there my friend.

Nope no dual mosfets here. In fact i havent heard of dual mosfets in a 29. Single, sure just havent seen dual. So yes this is what you see ( hope your spectacles are on) 35-40 pep on a bird 43 pep, which by the way was calibrated about 3 months ago.

I dont know why you'd say 'no 29 will do that power on a stock final'. I myself and I'd bet many others on this forum have seen just that.

Thanks for your observations and have a great evening

Excuse me for being a n00b here; but I've often wondered just how one can get 40-50 watts PEP out a device that is rated for 20 watts PEP - tops. Guessing that WW is thinkin' the same thing here. If it is getting that many watts out; then just how long can it be expected to survive? Not long?

Inquiring minds just ask dumb questions . . .

And I bet you will not. Your claim here is that your radio is doing more than twice the p.e.p. of any other single transistor final radio pretty much ever made.

Tell you what. This will make that old curmudgeon Pro151 happy....that old sourpuss....add a guarantee to your radio for WWRF members. If they get your radio and it doesn't do over 35 watts on their meter, even a DOSY !!, then you will gladly take it back AND pay the return shipping.

Just a minute! I didn't say anything about the radio's output or anything else. All I meant was that the pictures he posted showing the radio powered up and in transmit mode looked good.

I intentionally left the rest of this discussion over output power to you and anyone else.

I have no intention of arguing what the radio will or won't do.

David Crabtree, is that you?

There are many radios after modifications that do over 30pep. Are you seriously saying you've never seen one? I have seen 29's perfectly stock that are swinging to around 20 peak. So after some tweaking you dont thinks its possible to get more?

If you want to think my Bird is lying go right ahead and think that. Theres plenty of people out there that know. Isnt it about time to check into the Net and talk about all the No Traffic happening.

AROUND 20 is typical. Usually see 17 watts. That's around 20. Big difference between 17 and more than twice that of over 35.

Offer the guarantee or crawl away. Ha !
