Where may I buy a good quality faceplate...

... to get a couple of my older radios looking like new?

I've got a couple of older export rigs that I'd really like to spruce up, but from what I've seen on the web, I'm not too impressed with some of those faceplate reproductions that look more like a dang sticker than a piece of metal.

I'm not opposed to a cool looking eagle or something like that, either, but I would like for it to at least be a quality item.

Anyone have any luck with this? And I apologize if it has been covered in another thread.

His quality has dropped lately. It's as if he is using regular paper to cut out the faceplates then spraying them with a clear coat. The glue on the back is weak and the front of the sticker itself starts peeling up on the corners.

I am very impressed with eBay Store ? debs decals: Search results for.

I've bought a few from her and the quality is excellent. She was in a coma from a horse riding accident last year but I do believe she is back up and in business.

BF, I see quite a few stock-chrome faceplates for many different radios on ebay along with the fancy-goofy ones. Keep looking there.

Deb's has pretty decent stuff, but if you would rather have a hard plastic one for a decent price, the Brazilian has the DX, and might have the connex as well....

A good quality cobra 148 gtl dx faceplate will be hard to source if not impossible now,cobraworxshopz in the uk does excellent quality 148 gtl dx faceplates to fit on the ranger 3900 bezel which may be your best option,as faceplates to fit the original 148 bezel are no longer stocked by them.
most replacement faceplates were poor quality with the wrong shade fascia or wrong lettering font.

The one from Debs decals doesn't have the font right and the snake is wrong.
