The resistors within copper loops are parasitic supressors as mentioned. They should not be needed in this circuit.
Tell your amp builder to step up to 6kv and build a single YC-156.
Well for some reason I thought the original question mentioned a pair of tubes. That's why I suggested the YC-156.
My answer now is a for the GS-35B. I have one on the air too. I wrote one of the first GS-35B articles which appears on Tony King's site.
Most of these tubes are old mil surplus. No way to tell how many until they dry out. Even so, one can purchase a lifetime of GS-35B spares for the cost of one new 8877 comrades.
