Maybe we all just need to pay attention.
This is exactly what everyone needs to be doing, paying attention to what he's saying and "showing", which is much of nothing.
Let's start with his "calibrated test equipment" which is only the HP/Agilent 8920B (obsolete), that's the only piece he waves his expired paperwork all about in his videos. He said there was 900 pages in the manual that you had to read and understand in order to be able to use it, there are in fact 664 pages if you count the index - 642 if you don't. It's outdated, obsolete & antiquated technology.
His rambling about a spectrum analyzer and how it's a must you plug directly into it, no attenuation. What he fails to realize about the piece of equipment he read some fictional 900 page manual about is this : it has one built into it. It samples the input signal whether he's testing the transmitter or using the spectrum analyzer function. Maybe he needs to zonk out on shrooms again and re-read that non-existent 900 pages, again.
He says that digital scopes are worthless yet he's using an old, tired and worn analog scope... with no sticker showing calibration... showing no settings, remember - if they don't show it - they don't know it. All he can use that scope for is to view a modulated carrier, he can't use it for any other function or use (he can't repair a radio, just sell new ones). He doesn't use a digital because 1) he can't afford a high-end scope and 2) he doesn't know how to use one most importantly.
His function generator, while the Titanic was sinking, I think he stole it right before he punched some woman and her kid to steal their seat on the lifeboat. It has no fancy (useless) sticker of calibration linked to the JC of the Radio Gods (NIST) and we've seen no fancy paperwork on it either (it doesn't exist).
Where are his certificates of calibration on his slugs for his meters? I do believe Bird says those need a yearly calibration if used often but I'll give him a 2 year break on that - so where's the biannual calibration proof of those slugs?
Let's not forget his degree from the online electronics college - this is how legends are made...
Also, it's worth mentioning that he's WAY above sea level out there. He's on flat land with virtually no man-made interference considering he's out there in the sunny, beautiful vacation land of the Jawa's - the desert. Oh, y'all remember him getting up on the mountain but saying he was on flat land? Or the walkie-talkie BS where it was about 10 miles and line-of-sight while using his base antenna?
He's got his height above sea level, atmospheric conditions, 10-15KW of amp power (driven by an Ameritron) and an antenna that's up there - it's a lie of it being a few measly feet off the ground. He claims not to bleed over but he does, check it sometime when you've got him at S9 or greater - I've got it recorded.
There's guys out there outtalking him and sounding MUCH better, MotorMouthMaul, Mustang131, RepoMan... just to name a few and the list goes on. There are guys out there working on radios and some just tinkering, they have more up to date and actual calibrated equipment than that con artist does. There's guys out there that have forgotten more than the Sherminator has learned from his online genius degree in a Cracker Jack box. He's a con, a hack at best - projecting what he really is and does onto others in an attempt to destroy their reputations and their business. If he was 1/2 as good as he thinks he is, if he was the ONLY one in the nation... the world... that can "make" a Stryker right - why hasn't Shawn contacted him and enlisted his "vast knowledge" to make the product better? Shawn did and the V2 was born but it wasn't the Jawa that was questioned or probed... his emails and voicemails go unanswered and straight to FILE 13. Remember the video... demanding that Shawn contact him and provide him with information on the V2 955? HAHA, what a moron...
Mark Sherman... a legend in his own mind. Claiming 40 or 50 years of driving experience, guess he started driving a truck at 10yrs old. Multiple millions of miles driven... impossible. Millions of radios repaired, hacks removed... new methods of tuning and receiver sensitivity innovations - all while driving millions of miles... yeah right.
