Mobile Wilson 1000 barjan junk now?

First time i have seen anybody open a 5000 up without destroying the shell

Im wondering if barjan glued it with wallpaper paste ?

I have wanted to take a turn or more off the top of the coil & use a stiffer longer whip on my 5000 ever since i got it.

I own 2 of the older version Wilson 100’s one boxed never used and the other I use from
Time to time when I know there’s some skip on the radio .

ive used a sirio decent antenna.. i now running a topload skipshooter.
