So here's the story of Dog.
I had been living remote, very remote and a half mile off the paved rd.
This is where my cabin was

So one day my daughter and I were sitting in front of the cabin when I saw a flash of black moving up my shitter trail. At first I thought I saw a dog but being in back bear country I wanted to know exactly what it was. I put some food out in the opening behind the cabin and waited. Soon a skin and bones dog crept out of the huckleberry patch and started eating. She would stay and eat as long as you didn't talk to her. The second she heard a voice she would run. I believe she had been living in the forest by my cabin for at least a month maybe more before I realised she was there.
She began guarding the cabin from coyotes at night. This feeding, talking, running and gaurding went on for a couple weeks until I was able to borrow a bear cub live trap for a few days. Took 2 tries to catch her. The first time I didn't oil the linkage joints so she waltzed in, sniffed the food, picked up the container of food and walked out of the trap and into the huckleberry patch lmao.
I went out to see what happened and saw a light coating of rust on the linkage so a little dab of olive oil and more food later I reset the trap and waited and not long. This time I got her
First thing my dumbass did was stick my fingers thru the trap bars. As I did I thought hey dummy ur gonna get bit but instead she leaned into my fingers and let me scratch her ear. That was 11 years ago and shes been my problem child ever since.
I figure she was a drop off and somehow found my cabin.
Im tempted to do a dna test to know for sure but ive always suspected she was heeler because of her markings, attitude and the fact blue heelers were very popular where I was at.

This is my daughter's new dog, he's a bully, about 8 months old and about 65 lbs. He's sulking in this picture because I got on to him for running around inside the house, so he got on the couch and tried to make me feel sorry for him. It worked, he such a goofball. his name is Vader

A trained pair of police dogs is flat scariest.

First, is to confront you.
(Stopped you).

As you turn to retreat,
there is the Second.
(Boxed you).

(Sayonara, Adios, Buh-bye now).

None of these can ever be a pet.

It’s not appearance that’s intimidating.
It’s intent.

That is unfortunate...for many are bred for the "fight"...not for protection - Fight - as in intentional.

A hound from hell has bad intent, wouldn’t you agree?

The same could NOT be said about this guy...

Was one of the kindest people I got a chance to meet.

Unfortunately he suffered from Acromegaly - similar to Paget's Disease - where you just keep growing due to hormonal issues and Pituitary Gland abnormalities..

When I see a Dog with a mouth growth like that, I can't help but feed sad that the animal will have difficulty in eating it's meals - so I can easily see the suffering it undergoes from these defects.

In similar known conditions - animals like the post above constantly have to chew to grind down the teeth so they could even swallow. Else they could starve being unable to do so - one I've known from a local shelter was put down due to the issue of it's teeth-growth prevented it's jaw from being able to pivot. IT was too late for dentistry weakened by neglect and abandonment and with this type of condition there are other complications as you see in the BBC vid - including if left unchecked, unable to see due to the facial bones keep growing over the eye sockets and becoming deaf as the hearing structure ossifies into solid bone. We won't go into how the dog even will attempt to walk - it's difficult to watch.
