Wouldn't you know..............

Yeah with all these mutations you just never know when you might need to test. Can't remember but when these test weren't free I think I paid around 60-70 bucks apiece for the test but of coarse they are geared up to crank em out faster and cheaper now and of coarse my little local pharmacy wasn't above taking advantage of a situation. LOL
Oh wow, yeah I used to work for Rite aid,our local drug store and I had stopped by a couple weeks ago,and I think they were around $20-30 a test if I remember correctly, and with Fall and winter coming down the road, best be prepared!!

Jeeeeesh! They are available FREE at municipal libraries and MLA constituency offices (provincial politician offices). There are some other locations that pop up time to time as well. My wife stopped into the local MLA's office the other day and picked up two packs of five. Free. They were in a large tote just inside the office.

Yes the USPS site works. I have ordered a few times for me and my folks. I believe you can order once a month and you get four boxes that contain 2 tests.

If you have Kaiser Permanente, you can get 8 free tests per month at Rite-Aid. Just show your card…that’s assuming that they have them in stock.

Hope this helps!!!

Yesterday I didn't feel to bad and actually thought this wasn't going to be to bad. But since about 9 pm last night my throat has become so sore I dread swallowing, and I guess this stuff affects artists because my hands hurt worse than ever. The body aches seemed to have ramped back up compared to yesterday. I haven't been sick like this in years, I'm over it!! I just want it gone!! I don't do sick very well.

Sorry to hear things got a little worse,Hang in there Buddy,it'll get better, lots of Rest and lots of Water............ Prayers my Friend!!

Well as my Radio Friends might remember,Dad and I went on vacation this past week to visit the Flight 93 Memorial for a couple days and had a wonderful time together, we come home on Wednesday the 27th, everything is still good,Thurs or Friday Dad gets sick, thought it was just a really bad head cold for a day or so, finally got him into the doctor on Monday,He tested Positive for COVID,they put him on some very powerful stuff and he's out of quarantine and doing so much better, well wouldn't you know that I just now tested Positive for COVID myself, after having just cold symptoms for less than 24 hrs, left work early to go to the doctors on Friday and now I'm off work until August 11, apparently I have bronchitis, all though over all I feel pretty good,I'm just very fatigued and drained, this will be my 2nd time with COVID and hopefully my last,a real pain in A....................
Wow, that really sucks. It sounds like both you and your Dad will get through it w/o any other bad stuff from COVID's travel bag. I got it in June, fatigue and a fever ranging from 99-105 for a few days, but nothing else. My wife caught it from me and while she didn't ever have a fever, she had (in her words) "The worst sore throat of her life" which went on for 3 or 4 days, but otherwise no other issues. It's weird how these variants hit people differently. I hope you and your Dad get well soon!

Thank you for your Concern, my Dad and I are feeling much better,We both had fatigue and much tiredness and exhaustion, Dad had more of the sore throat Crap, where as I had running nose, etc. No fevers thankfully, yeah it's strange how it affects everyone differently,so very true, finally go back to work after being off for 5 days, looking forward to getting back to normal so to speak!! Glad to hear that you and your wife are over the COVID Crap also, never Fun!!

This virus is a nasty little bug. I work at hospital, (IT) so at least I'm away from the patient rooms but we have constant flow of tech's that do go out there so surprised I've managed to dodge the beast this long but sadly wife and youngest daughter came down with it this week. Still not feeling any symptoms but also not holding my breath me and the other daughters are going to dodge it this time.

Well, hopefully I'm on the downhill side of this thing. As of now the body aches are gone and the sore throat is what I'd call mild, still sore but not anything unbearable, still coughing junk out of my lungs but feeling much more normal. Maybe I can finish installing my cab mount bushings and set out some jug lines at the lake before I have to go to work next week. Hopefully everyone dealing with this crap is feeling better also.

Feeling a Lott better, no body aches, no sore throat but the fatigue factor is still horrible. I can go outside and putter around doing much of nothing and I'm worn out. I'm also about a month behind on testosterone shots, which probably isn't helping matters but how long does this fatigue issue last with this big?

The fatigue can last up to three or four weeks. I got it in the second week of July and had a miserable week of it. I had avoided it for the last two years and attended a wedding mid July. Two days after was when it struck. I was off work for a week. I took tonic water with quinine for two days and that helped clear the infection, so my flu ey symptoms cleared up. Don't forget that the older you are it will take longer for your body to fully recover and get back to your usual self.
We aint spring chickens no more. Aging is a b**ch....

I'll 2nd that fatigue Part, when I first had COVID the first time around I believe last year, the fatigue at least for me lasted almost a month before I was back to full strength so to speak,I'm finally back to work and out of quarantine on round number 2 of COVID just getting over it earlier this week, and I'm exhausted by the end of the day due to the fatigue factor of of it,I'm just learning to pace myself and work through it while not overdoing it if that makes sense!!

Take your time, don't rush. 2nd time round means you know what to expect re re-energising your body. Eat healthly and get as much sleep as you can. Sleep helps to repair the body. Be well AmericanEagle575..... Cool handle by the way
Thank you,and yes sleep does wonders for the body for the healing process,as for the the handle,I'm part of a CB radio group called American Eagle SSB Club based out of New Hampshire and everyone who joins up( it's free) gets a personalized number( for example iam AE 575 ) and I believe there are currently 2500 members last count,so that's how I got my handle so to speak!! Thank you again for your concern and God Bless you and your Family!!

If you're a month behind on the Testosterone shots it will hurt/slowdown the recovery process. Being a month behind can really drag your system down to where you're fatigued and, not thinking as clearly as you normally would. I'm just based what I said in regards to my own TT issues. If you're behind because you don't want to go in and infect the staff, call your Doc and have him call in an Rx for a bottle of Androgel. It'll keep you going until your healthy enough to get your shot.

Regards,
Woody
