I think that if someone went the distance to post 'those pictures' on two -count 'em 'two'- different forums to 'spread the word', they have an ulterior motive. It stands to reason. Dodgem has only 65 posts since April and Muddy Waters has 4 -now.

If someone thought they would join here just to throw Sparky under the bus, I hope that wasn't the intention. As one can see by now, we have our loyalties here - based on our own experiences and shared knowledge. It will take a lot more than some hokey pictures to change that, that's for sure...

Because that's what happens on internet forums - they are for passing information, obtaining information, helping, giving opinions, sharing BS, etc. It works this way on ALL forums, not just radio ones.

As soon as someone posts on the public internet pictures and comments (on their own site or someone elses) criticizing the work of others, they are opening the door for a firestorm. Dodgem may be perfectly legit with these pictures - none of on the internet have absolute proof that he's not. But that works both ways - there are a million reasons why those radios could look like that.

Let's just say this: Some of us have been on these radio internet forums since the day they started. This isn't the first or last time we'll be going around this block...

Look, I posted those pictures on my forum for my members, someone else took the pleasure of posting them somewhere else, I guess, I don't know them being posted anywhere else, but, that I can't help, and since I have nothing to hide, and I am simply sending out the facts in a pictorial way, I'm sorry if some guys can't deal with the truth, but, personally, those are not the first ones I've seen from said cb repair shop in question and trust me, I posted them pictures only because when I opened that radio and saw that poor excuse for an install, I said Holy F ! You have got to be kidding me! I could not believe what I was seeing... again ! The pictures are what they are and if anyone wants to continue, that's fine by me, but, remember if it came from said repair shops and you got a issue with your radio, do not even think about sending it to me.

I just wish I had of thought to take more pictures in the past. I just can not get over how some guys send crap like that back to their customers, I guess they assume the customers are complete idiots, well they got paid, who gives a rats ass right ?

I'm not trying to protect anyone. I don't represent anyone but me.

All I'm saying is that you opened up a big can of worms, so you shouldn't be surprised at some of responses. I've never purchased a radio from any of the shops mentioned (except RollingRadios, a loooooong time ago) so I have no stake in any of this.

There are a lot of very terrible shops out there. There are few good ones. There are also some dishonest ones that try to make themselves look like Jesus and everyone look like demons. Several years ago we even a member here from a shop that switched radios on a customer and then wouldn't own up to it...only they didn't realize that the customer was a member here and took pics of the serial # before and after.

That's why I said I take everything I see on radio forums about other shops with a very large dose of salt...I believe I've seen it all, but I'm sure I haven't yet.

I'm not calling anyone on either side of this a liar. Just don't get upset about this stuff showing up here and people taking sides...that's what is going to happen when you put it out on the internet.

Oh yeah, unlike other forums, we don't ban people whose opinions are different than our own.

I agree with Mole, and what has happened here can only be expected.

Do you think we believe everyone that posts here; or do you thingk we scutinize things for ourselves?
What did you expect Dodgem; that we would not doubt your claim - after so many of us here have trusted our radios to Sparky - and have not been dissatisfied or disappointed?

If Sparky should have to make something right that he did - then he did it w/o charge.
Why didn't Muddy Waters send it back to Sparky -along with a nasty note and a copy of his reciept- for him to make it good?
Sparky puts a seal on his radios; where is evidence of that seal?
Did Muddy Watters get the radio DIRECTLY from Sparky - or did some sell it to him SAYING that it was Sparky's radio?

If it were someone knocking your radio work, I would be just as dilligent to be critical to protect you as well.
I don't have one of your radios; but I have two of Sparky's - NO COMPLAINTS!

Being from the UK I don't know you or the shops you are rubbishing but I do know most good tech's would be happy to take work despite where it has previously been.Simply because if they are good tech's no matter how bad previous work done is they would be able to sort it out and stick another feather in their cap at having just gained another happy long term customer.

it's a challenge fixing out the bad jobs and making a bad radio good,any mug can solder in reverse polarity diodes and output transistors.

Seeing as stickman hasn't previously been mentioned can I safely assume your rubbishing a third tech now? you may or may not be a good tech but your business acumen SUCKS!!!

slagging others off is not a good method of improving your reputation,letting your soldering iron/trim tools and satisfied customers do the talking and keeping your own dignity is.

reputations are easily gained,good and bad,but hard as hell to shake off in the cutthroat world of cb.
