Yes you are correct I had a mismatched pair (different type tubes) I found out that I shouldn’t do that so I ordered a new matched type set.Umm, under the three final tubes?
If it's the one I think, it serves as the shunt resistor to read plate current on the radio's meter. Just has to be the right resistance, and heavy enough to handle the current of all three tubes. To rewind the original you would need resistance wire made from an alloy that has a much higher resistance per inch than normal copper wire. The fabric is supposed be fiberglass, to tolerate high temperatures.
Sounds like maybe your FT102 experienced a set of chinese 6146 tubes.

He may even have the part you need or point you in the right direction.
Somewhere 3 final tubes were mentioned,only the ft102 had 3 finals.
