I am kinda of new to the ham hobby, (but not new to radio) and I seemed to have missed somthing.
ICOM has an HF/VHF/UHF all mode unit for the base.
Kenwood has one too.
You used to have one, in the FT-847 model.
So why don't you dust off those old FT-847 plans, maybe upgrade/add some of features, like 1.2 GHz, DSP, and CLONEing capability so we can have programming software like the FT-857.
I'll buy serial number 1.
