Dear Yaesu;
I am kinda of new to the ham hobby, (but not new to radio) and I seemed to have missed somthing.
ICOM has an HF/VHF/UHF all mode unit for the base.
Kenwood has one too.
You used to have one, in the FT-847 model.

So why don't you dust off those old FT-847 plans, maybe upgrade/add some of features, like 1.2 GHz, DSP, and CLONEing capability so we can have programming software like the FT-857.

I'll buy serial number 1.
who want's serial number 2?

Couldn't agree more with you guys..The 847 is an awesome rig. Bought mine new in the early 2000's..Have INRAD crystal filters installed.

The new offerings seem like plastic toys compaired to the 847

Give it time fellas I am sure Yaesu will launch one. I love my wifes 857D and all my yeasu HF rigs and 2 meter radios. Yaesu will have to come up with something its a given in order to stay in the game.
