This is a pair of the large TRC-2
See the original TRC- 1
I have three. (So far)
Assemble radio, amp, tuner, power supply, etc, ready for use in carrier.
Get foam-lined APACHE 3800 or 4800 transport case to drop TRC into if not doubled by bolting
I found a
SKB I-Series rolling transport case half off as a return. I figured on something large enough to also carry batteries & solar as well as that A-3800/4800.
With extra foam for different configuration, I can use this otherwise as a way of moving all radios.
(I’ve since gone to A-cases for each radio
plus all gear they require to work. From power to wire dipoles and all in between).
But there are tools, supplies, test or diagnostic equip, etc that deserve best treatment.
If given antennas are disassembled for PVC tube transport, they also have supporting materials. Push-up mast, same.
Metal boxes and wooden crates have their place. Like, the 1907 journey across the Takla Makan. Or outermost layer should I ship by truck.
Remember portable dry kitchens?
Case big enough to “shelve” the cook pots. To start. Then utensils. Etc
Case(s), antennas, mast, keg-o-rator will need a plan
Be able to strap to one of these. Mines 400-lb capacity, but not heavy or bulky.
Find what couriers use.
