Yagi assembly question

I tightened each element snugly, but still has a little movement. Should I tighten each element to where the base of each element bracket makes contact with the boom? I use blue locktite as well. Instructions doesn't say otherwise. Of course, each leg side would spread out further. I'm thinking it should make contact, but taking advice.

What you have should be tight enough. I had a Cushcraft 147-11 with those element mounting things and never tightened them to the point the middle touched the boom and it stayed up for years without any issues.

K,, they are snug, plus with the loc-tight, I suppose it'll suffice. Just waiting on my buddy to help install it. Can't wait to see how she does.

Thanks for the input. I've have similar in the past. I don't recall torqueing them down, either.

Definitely can't directly feed both planes with LMR-400 way to heavy on the boom. Have to make two LMR-240UF jumpers for rotor slack. Going to direct each jumper straight down behind the DE's toward the back for slack.

Bend the bracket a little to make it contact the element more firmly, just my opinion but it shouldn't be loose at all

It's not necessary loose, but the bracket will move slightly side to side, mostly from the clearance the bolt has thru the boom. I suppose, if I did tightened it untill the bracket flattened against the boom, it would still have the same amount of movement. Anyhow, all the elements have lined up pretty even and aren't going anywhere.

Ok, element not loose just the bracket, I would leave it alone too, that way you can retorque if they work loose over time as opposed to bottomed out
