Ya'll plannin to mailin vote?

That happens here on a weekly basis!! Not a week goes by where we don't get something that belongs in another mail box and the reverse!
The XYL gets a few magazines.(People & another's?)
They will show up Days/Weeks late, looking read. (binders creased, seals broken etc.)
Then she will get 2 or 3 issues from different weeks all show up with-in a few days of each other.:(
I get only "radio" related publications, they will show up pages torn, covers ripped etc. I have seen them come in special USPS envelopes, with "sorry" this is damaged!
Was never like that before, this crazy stuff started about 6+ month's ago. Hmmm!
All the staff at local Rural office are now all Part Time staff. Same with carriers.
The " service window" is only open now 5 hours per day, plus only 3 hours on Saturday morning.
Postmaster now takes care of like 3-4 different branches, where before each PO had their own. Nice guy but his office, is now 11 miles away.
He has become very complacent when you go there and complain. He blames the sorting station (70 miles away) or has other excuses (private contractors) as to why something is wrong.
I can understand the need to "streamline" or "reorganize" operation systems, every large Corporation and business goes through that, now that the "bean counters" are major controlling board members.
However, the USPS has become a real issue and I only see it getting worse not better.
XYL told me yesterday, any "Holiday" packages this year will go, FEDX or UPS.
We will have to drive 40 mile round trip to ship those.
All the Best
Gary
yes ours is short houred, same excuse sorter lets packages hang up???
Now get this 1 if you send radios to yaesu under warrenty they ship back fedex and you must sign for your radio.
We are not home daytime so i call n ask fedex if they can drop somewhere n i pick up my radio? Yes your local walgreens. Ok that works great.3rd time radio was returned i went in wg n lady jumped my case saying i cant ship to wg n sign for it,cant drop at all unless they ship to my house n im not there THEN IT CAN BE DROPPED AT WG. I asked very nicely how you know if its shipped to my house then there? She walked off.called fedex n they opened a case against that wg. Wife was in wg last nite n seen sign saying we no longer do fedex!
Fedex directed me to the new dollar general store which is closer win win. I ask clerk if droppin my package from fedex here is ok? She said most certainly we just set up fedex to assist people.wg needs to think or least that 1,we come in n get package we might buy stuff in the store.as of now we go in wg maybe 1 time a month

I get six boxes delivered every month by UPS. They are all sent from the same location and date.

The last 3 months I got 3 boxes delivered. told the driver I would see him again tomorrow. sure enuf , the missing 3 boxes arrived the next day.

Bottom line: if you won the lotto and had a multi million dollar winning ticket, would you deliver it by hand to the lotto commission, or would you just put it in an envelope and mail it in?

I have pretty good luck with the postal service getting packages delivered to me. However their tracking isn't very helpful.

I will vote in person...voting tomorrow.

I'll remind everyone that this is the first time in history where large masses of people will use mail in ballots. It's also the very first time the entire media has conditioned us to accept the reality that we will not have a result anytime soon after the election. If the consequence for convenient voting, is that the entire country sits in limbo for weeks while "late ballots" are counted, I suggest that this is totally unacceptable and mail in voting should be limited to those with a legitimate reason for not being able to vote in person.

I also noticed that my mail in ballot required the voter to select one of several multiple choice reasons for not being able to vote in person. They put great emphasis on informing people that risk of china virus could be used by ANYONE wanting to vote by mail. They were careful not to correctly word the instructions to say anyone at risk could vote by mail, they said ANYONE could use that reason to vote by mail....

I envy all of you that truly believe a certain president can save our country.

I don't believe our country needs to be saved. I voted for the party that will direct our country in what I believe is the best direction.

It only took me about an hour to vote here in San Antonio.

I heard something about the mail in ballots in Tarrant county today. There is an internet rumor that the barcode on the envelope could be used by identity thieves. People are writing over the barcodes to protect their identity and it's screwing up the process.

They said the ones they've received so far still had enough of the barcode to process, but if it were completely destroyed the vote would not be counted and they would not be able to contact the voter.

Hard to say just who started that rumour and what the motivation behind it was. That is the problem today. Too many people are quick to accept whatever they see or hear on the internet without verifying anything.

It's been a mess. Dallas county had issues with their envelopes also. The barcode was being scanned by the postal service by mistake and the ballots were being returned to sender. They had the same issue with the same envelopes on the last election. They sent a memo to the post office and all is well. :ROFLMAO:

Wife was off work monday,i was also so we decided to absentee vote at courthouse. Was maybe 12 in front of us,thats ok.
Woman came out getting voter registration cards n askin why we are absentee voting?
I replied i drive truck part time n work on farm never knowing if im at home election day.
Wife said i ride along with husband sometimes n might be election day.
She came out n got us to vote.as soon as i got in we were presented with a b0gus lie,was told sign this.i asked what?
Lady said your here to vote cause your scared of china bs virus. I said BULLSHIT IM NOT SIGNING THAT LOOK AT ME NO MASK IM NOT SCARED! She ripped our papers up.
