That's funny. Not long ago, an old timer here local was telling me about that, but I can't remember who or what now. Something about digging a hole and using salt and a copper coil or something like that. He claimed it worked great :w00t:My favorite from yesteryear is the "rock salt linear".
lol, not as bad as the numbnut on youtube erecting a beam and tower in a swimming pool full of salt water, pmsl. i suppose on the bright side he could fill it full of bass and use his old A99 to hook them.
...From that point on every dx contact he made a myth was born how this salt water ground was the result of the contact.
Is that where that started? I remember some of the superbowl talkers around here filling their trunks with buckets of water/rock salt and claiming it would give them an extra 250+ watts of power. What really made me laugh was when they sat a bucket full of the mixture next to the base of their antenna and ran a wire from the bucket to the mast. I understand the concept of improving soil conductivity by seeding the ground with rock salt, but they had their DC ground going to the bucket.
Mortons produces Sea Salt.
A friend knows a friend who has an amp in his truck that is sooooo powerful that if he turns it on high, all the radios in a 5 mile radius burn up. hahahaha LOL!
i thot sea salt came from the ocean
