How was "mean" George today?
Yes they are. Finished up last night with a total of 683 contacts. I don't know if I will get to play today.*HIT happens
Solar cycles are fun:w00t:
Nice!I had the rig on 10 meters yesterday, just swl'ing.
I was working on the 3-1000Z home brew I put together and listening to the QRM from everywhere.
As little as I could; getting contacts with less than 20 watts made it harder to do as I depended upon using the 4 element Yagi beam 99.9999% of that time with xlnt results. Of course, skip conditions went my way too. Never used an amplifier, as I keep my neighbors happy that way. Never had any complaint from any of them. Never needed an amp.Hey Robb, do you mind me asking what sort of power you typically put out while DXing?
FNH
I was a little surprised to get it, but I did get it once before two years ago. So few operators on that small island.Robb good contact to the Falklands, only worked there one time.
The pacific has really been quite here, but I did talk to Mark from South Korea again today (actually I do talk to him almost everyday), also along with another station from the Philippines. Thailand has been zzzzzz's.

Another major solar flare, but this time from an active region just beginning to turn into view off the east limb. It is possible that the group responsible is old AR 3654 from the previous rotation. The latest flare, an X2.99 event just peaked at 14:38 UTC (May 15). Stay tuned |
