Crazy mobile antenna!

Let me be clear in this fun. I ain’t at all afraid to run a Signal Engineering GR-45 on the roof. And we have (what I’d call) sufficient anecdote + discussion.

Had it on the Peterbilt a couple of years ago; back-of-sleeper mount. On a Jeep Cherokee twenty-years ago it was a talkin’ sonuvagun. It’ll go on my Dodge at some point (10.25’ TTL height on roof). Probably need to guy it somehow, the folks at SE told me 24-years back it was expected to be used as a trunk mount on a sedan.

So, if some configuration of this CRAZY MOBILE worked, I’d try it. Jest need a leetle data, hmmm?
But I’d go with a Predator if that’s the config.

CB can be fun just to mess with truck driver heads. Eye R 1

IMO, it's strictly a hodgepodge parts antenna, put together by someone that had his tinker toys taken away as a child. After disassembly, the individual parts could be useful in a home brew VHF or UHF antenna. I would reserve the coils for other projects such as dipole traps or an antenna tuner pi network. Maybe after the buyer figures out the antenna is all show with little go the parts will get recycled with knowledgeable hands.

Agree!

Years ago I ran a Hustler HF setup with single mast/multiple resonators on each mirror side for the different HF bands. It was funky looking to see all those resonators! I had all kinds of comments like "did that antenna come off sputnik" etc.

Here's the only pic I got.

I do have the Little Tarheel HP screwdriver on the driver side but you can see on the other side the Hustler with a large 75 meter resonator coil along with 6m and 11m that used in cab switches for my HF and CB.

Forum member Blackcat630 better not see this!

No, it's an Illinois LTL company using owner operators contractors for long hauls.

Hint: The name was the same name as a defunct flatbed company that was based in my home state from at least 20 years ago.

PM the answer.

I’ll leave it a mystery. “Everyone” knows the poor driving of FX Ground contractors hauling doubles . The guys at FX Freight, OTOH, are employees, and pretty good.

Naw, we’ll take Sunbulls’ observations and write it up (down) to an Amazon Prime carrier. That’s the new marker for “bad driving”. “Tinker Toy” was pretty funny. Fits.

Make fun of driving a Cornbinder while we’re at it. De-balled 11-Liter and a 9-speed. 2.80 gears.

This driver shows up in this thread, he’s gonna get jazzed no matter what.

Looks like a 9 year old got locked in the cb shop overnight again. Luckily he was able to break into the junk food machine and survived on twinkies and hohos. He had managed to drink all of the root beer out of the soda machine too. They found this antenna on the workbench when they discovered the kid in the morning.......

A long time ago Troy would haul around bins of 3/8 × 24 antenna parts to shoot outs and CB breaks that you could screw together and build your own custom antenna.
That's what it looks like to me.

Only antennas tested by NASA.
Or that's what it said on his web site at one time.....

Be cool to mount a couple high power blue lasers on the " booms "
