I hope you're all well and enjoying some radio fun tonight, in whatever form you feel like. I myself have decided to gather some of my portables for some SW band scanning and possibly a bit of AM DX as the evening draws in.

How is the Tecsun R-9700DX? It looks like a fun analog radio.

Hi Grunddiigg,

The 9700 is one of those radios that I can't seem to bond with. It's beautifully made and very solid, however I find it to be lacking in sensitivity on both the SW bands and on FM. It seems that AM is where this receiver excels, certainly in the limited few hours that I've spent with it. I'll get round to a more thorough testing, one day soon.
