    I am still hearing lots of bass roll off is there any place I could take a low lovel line out before it goes through the audio amp? Also a way to tap into the mic input bypassing any restrictions that are robbing the low end sound. As mentioned here on this other radio...

    When comparing the pb010ab Cobra to the later anytone 5555 etc there is a much fuller sound coming from the anytone, the old pb010 cobra has the bass rolled off compared to the fuller sounding anytone. I see there are some Hi Fi tx Rx mods for other radios is there any for this?

    Looking at it closer only loud strong signals seem to make a noise from the speaker, and it's doing It on all modes I was wrong thinking it was just fm. So far changed the 10.695 filter, the 1000uf cap in audio circuit that was swollen a little on the top, still nasty broken received audio.

    No I mean the roll off in the audio circuit makes the sound thin and tinny, lowering down to say 70hz And extending nicely to 4k or 4.5 sounds much nicer. If you pass a tone generator through on tx on say a pb010ab chassis you can pass upto 4.8k easy. So looking for more depth really as 4.8k...

    President George Hifi mods ? Lack of bass from this radio on both tx and receive.

    Hi are there any mods to let through some more body in the audio as in bass? And possibly some for tx ? The high frequencies are there on both tx and Rx but having no bass in the sound makes this radio tiresome on the ears. 73 all

    Magnum 257 finals bias

    Hi just trying to make head or tail of the instructions to set bias for finals, I have the little test board loose and connecting the meter to the so said correct places does not even come close to what I have, I get no current in ssb on con1 pins one and two. Any ideas ? 73
