11 meter is very quiet?

Sporadic incoming. Comes and goes. Not even trying to call.
Shoot man I hate that for you, that's been the same way for me until the last couple of days. Today I was able to make some really strong contacts before conditions fell out. Right around sunset has been best up here in Amarillo, hopefully it only gets better as we get closer to spring.

Had Iowa other day. One base and another mobile about 20 mi from the guy on base. This McKinley does good with the 450LD.

Ain't really been into it. Trying to work on new breakover tower. Getting 9 feet of 2 inch pipe driven into this black gumbo is a bitch. Using garden hose w nozzle trying to drill. This clay is tough as woodpecker lips.

As a kid I’d read about men in wartime digging foxholes. ????? No, way, I thought. Not in my experience which was the black-land strip of Texas (IH-35 & IH37). All that clay is great for holding water, but wet or dry it’s about impossible by hand.

Someone needs a road trip up to Jewett: Rockbuster
