136WI411 operator Jeff was on 555 QSYing someone to 585 so I followed them up there. Took me a minuet of them talking to figure out that 136 was his prefix haha. I thought they were done so I called to him, but they weren't done and he asked me to stand by. I was so surprised that he heard me, I scrambled to get a pencil and paper. On my Galaxy 99v that Oldtec03 fixed up for me with a condenser mic and a KL203 he said I was "Booming" 5/9 periodically dropping to 5/7. Had a great exchange, names, signal reports, and weather.
Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
