I recently purchased a new Cobra 29 classic and hooked it up to my exsisting antenna setup(Wilson 1000 roof mount). My SWRs were reading higher than my other radios(Superstar 121 and Galaxy 33). Tried adjusting my antenna but still getting 1.5 SWRs minimum. My other radios, I checked with a 3 watt deadkey setting and my cobra is set at 5.5 watts deadkey, is this a factor? Thanks

Thanks, I adjusted the antenna some tonight and got it down to a 1.4 SWR, guess if I want them flat, I'll need to lower my deadkey a tad.

Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
