What is the mod on the RF gain, is that variable power? That's the one control I'd not do it on.
That's not near as concerning as the big forward average power swing and subsequent over modulation.He needs to buy a better peak hold meter.

@ AWP:Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
