connex 300-300 hp

Problems with the swr reading high
when rf power is turned up. shows
1.3 when rf power is all the way down
goes up to 3.1 when turned up 2 12 oclock
any help would be appreciated. thanks n4rck:blush:

Sounds like u need a better ground what antenna are u using and how is it mounted

i have it on a 2010 volvo behind cab.
firestick topload 5 ft. is what i am gonna
try next, i am thinking its harmonics.
the swr reading doesnt go up till the rf
is turned up. checking @ the radio with
a daiwa 801-hp meter. its not my truck
its a friends. i will try and check the
antenna with a analyzer at feedpoint.
i will post back with the results thanks tony

I doubt the problem is the radio. Antenna installs can be a pain in big trucks.
