I recently screen captured this CB radio from the movie “Death Race.” The Hallicrafters Littlefone CB-3A was a popular 8 channel radio made back in 1962. I recall repairing and wiring a D104 desk mic to one of these for a friend.

??????? I don't ever recall seeing a radio in use on TV/movie screen that was not actually powered up. I have seen a few microphones plugged into a receivers headphone jack before.
There were LOTS of those radios around in the early to mid 1980's. Commonly found at garage sales of that era for a dollar or two.
Being that they were only 7 (or was it 8 ?) crystal controlled channels nobody wanted them anymore at that point, especially with all the shiny new 40 channel rigs that came out at the end of the 1970's.
I'll admit to having blown a few of those very radios way back when I was young and learning the hard way about antennas and SWR...........
