Sure was a crazy weekend for skip.
On 13/07/2003 (Sunday Oz time) I got New Zealand, not to far from Australia, but a good strong copy using the Stationmaster Mark II on about 12 to 15 watts. A couple of locals around the capital on the South Island (Wellington).
Then soon after with the beam on and the power wound up I got 'Triple K' out of Hawaii. A good contact with a lot of strong Australian and Hawaiian stations making lots of noise.
Then about an hour after that on channel 38 I responded to a call from Alpha Delta 27 (Eddy), "Not sure on the numbers I don't have my log with me at the moment", out of JAPAN.
Turned the beam around and a great contact with him. Listen out for him as I've heard him several times before but this was the first time I've heard him since the yagi went up.
