Fellow gunslingers...

I think somebody said .45...seems there was some discussion of putting stuff together, too!
Here's an example of why I am known in some circles as WECSOG. This was a stripped Super Blackhawk receiver; stripped both in terms of missing its parts and in terms of having its barrel threads stripped out. I put it together piecemeal from various parts...most not Super Blackhawk, some not even Blackhawk, some not even Ruger. It's now a .45 ACP. Barrel length is 10-3/4". I'm not sure what the barrel even came from; some kind of rifle I think.
Not pretty. I appreciate pretty guns, but I don't build pretty guns.;)

Good looking gun to me WECSOG. Just the looks of that .45 would clear bad hombres out of any late night honky tonk around here...looks like bar sweeping serious business!
Thanks! My original plan was to make it a snubby, but when a friend offered me that barrel stub I decided not to shorten it.

I understand thoughts on making it a snubby. Here is another 45 I have...Uberti Cimarron. I bought this one on Gun Broker with the intention of making a snubby out of it.

When it arrived the gun looked to nice too mess with. As far as I got was take the ejector rod assembly off. Years later now and that's the way it remains. I shoot it without the ejector rod...just going to leave it this way as it balances in my hand so well. o_O

WES , That looks better than some of my " Go To " guns I have so that I can grab them quick !;) All the " Safe Queens " are where they are supposed to be . No children here , so if I have a gun stashed in a corner or a drawer , I have No Worries . :) The more I look @ it The more I like it ! (y) How's that Big Girl Shoot ?

Sorry 357; I just saw this. It shoots quite well; much better than I had any right to expect!

Here's one I just put together today. It's a S&W Model 10 that I bought from J&G without a barrel, then put a barrel on it. It was originally a snubby, and a snubby it remains.
I actually bought two of them, but I'm not putting the other one back stock. It's still gonna be a plain, basic, utilitarian working gun (as the Model 10 was intended to be); just a little different than most.

I’m pretty sure that’s what Deputy Sheriff John Friendly had holstered back when such a thing could be believed about badge & uniform.

Have to use his nightstick held horizontal in the classroom to keep all the nine-year boys at bay.

But, (ahem) my being in Texas, well, . . .357 (with a 6” barrel) was for your wife. That piece shown would have had to have been chambered in .41 Remington for believability.

One Riot
One Ranger
One Round

(Great pic! Truly).
