I had the Hallicrafters SX-140 receiver which was a radio my father-in-law made while he worked at Hallicrafters after the war. Then I got the HT-40 transmitter while I was at Dayton and paid $100.00 for it. Then I found the matching speaker and HA-5 VFO on QTH.com for $110.00 I had the dowkey shoved in a drawer so that was free and I am wiring the hand mic up this afternoon until I can find a D104 with 10DA Crystal head to use of AM with the setup. It puts out about 50 watts and about half that on 6 meters.
