I installed the am filter. I get reports that the xmit audio is poor. I did a google to set it up for optimum settings and can't find anything. Anyone have any input?
Keep the carrier around 20 watts or so. Remember that your '100 uses low-level modulation...and as such won't develop 'swing' like a rig which utilizes high-level modulation.
My FR101S and FT201 sound very good on AM -if- I follow that rule...they'll distort otherwise due to lack of amplifier headroom, especially when higher carrier power is used.
Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
