Im having problems with my Galaxy 94HP. When you turn it on it keys up and stays like that until you turn it off. Also while its keyed up I can speak in to the mic and there is no modulation in any mode FM, AM, SSB. It also puts out full output when keyed.

It keys up regardless if the mic is plugged in or not so it's not a mic issue. I have also unplugged the wires that go to the mic connection inside the radio and this doesn't help.

Dang I fix one radio and another goes up in smoke!

Thanks again!

That's what I thought, but were would the relay be in this radio. I have isolated the problem to being inside the radio and not with the internal 4 mosfet amp board or with the mic.

Dang SMT boards are harder to work on!

nooooooooooooo

there is no relays on newer radios
look for the switching diode. i don't have a schematic so cant help much.
good luck with it

Does it still do this if the roger beep is off? I had a 55V that did this and it was a diode D82 if I remember correctly.
