Good cheap external speakers

I just bought this set of amplified speakers from Wal-mart for around $12 . They work great for the rig. I have it plugged into the phone jack and regulate the volume from the speaker. Good audio.

Another neat feature is that there is a phone jack supplied on the side of the speaker below the volume control.

I just wired up an old computer speaker too, for my Yaesu 897d. Works way better than stock and costs almost nothing!

the stock speaker in my washington doesnt sound too bad , so i just use it . but if im trying to dig out some skip or a weak local i plug in my sennheiser 555 headphones . i can make out folks on them that i cant with any typical speaker , even one of my home theaters satellites .

i use one of sparkys skythumpers speakers in the mobile , definately way better than the stock speaker in the 78ltw

i use the old motorola speaker out of old cop cars, and state dump trucks. sound great.

Uniden esp20. GREAT speaker for under 20 bucks. Less than 14 bucks at walmart .com. Eham reveiws give it a 4.8 out of five.

does your 2 meter gear fuzz them up if you transmit on 2m while listening on hf?
