I have two 30s- / 40s-era tube radios to disassemble for parts which will be used in other radio projects.

Can anyone advise how to proceed in making sure that the circuit contains no stored power?

Thank you

1. Unplug from wall sockets.
2. Using a suitable length of wire (20 ga should be enough). Connect one end of it to the chassis using an alligator clip. If you're right-handed, put your left hand in your pocket and keep it there while you touch the other end of the wire to every connection on/in the radio. If these radios haven't been used (i.e. connected to AC power you should not see any signs of stored power. Keep your left hand in the pocket until you're done.
