Icom sm20 disassemble?

357 -

I think that the mike head unscrews from the body (shaft) of the mike. Unfortunately, the head is usually glued to the body. I had a Kenwood mike that needed a replacement element. I heated the mike with a blow dryer until the glue softened enough to unscrew it. Took a LOT of heat. USE GLOVES ... I learned that the hard way.

I got it with the hairdryer.
I had no idea where it unthreaded, I thought lower at the tube....ffs. (not 1 picture I could find)
It broke loose I used rubber gloves.
Looks like the element fell out of the rubber holder.
All back in 1 piece now, thanks 399.

(I didn't use the needle nose or any other pliers.)
